This allover digitally printed cotton tote bag is made from durable heavyweight fabric and features an array of bold, hand-painted floral acrylic illustrations growing amongst ferns and grass. On the front, a bee is flying across the bag, looking for some pollen and nectar. The watercolor gradient from deep purple to forest green in the background creates a fantastical and mystical atmosphere.

The front and back of the bag show two different mystical floral scenes, so it is basically two bags in one! The design on the front features bold florals in various shades of pink, purple and orange that stand out from the deep purple-green background. The reverse side of the bag shows an enlarged soft pink anemone in full bloom and the strong contrast between the bright flower and the dark background creates a mystical feeling. Thanks to the durable and strong cotton fabric, this tote bag will hold your produce shopping, water bottle and picnic blanket. The edges on the inside of the bag have been overlocked, to prevent fraying. On the outside in the bottom right corner the signature teal colored AMPellegrini Art & Design fabric label is sewn into the hem.

The bag comes neatly folded and tissue wrapped with a small card containing washing and care instructions. Anna-Maria Pellegrini has painted all the acrylic illustrations and created the design for A Bee Mystery in her East London Hackney-based home studio. They are based on photographs she took during visits to London’s Natural History Museum and British gardens. The bag is entirely Made in the UK - from printing to the final stitches - and then carefully wrapped, packed and dispatched by Anna-Maria.
